Symposium: Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development in the Context of China’s Institutional Change

Over the past few decades, many unique business and economic phenomena emerge in the context of China's institutional change. While such developments have played a significant role in the rapid development of China's economy, it is sometimes difficult to explain their emergence with traditional theory. In order to have a better understanding about these important questions and substantial challenges, we are calling for contributions on "Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development in the Context of China’s Institutional Change" as the theme of a symposium to be considered for publication in the Emerging Markets Finance and Trade (SSCI journal, current impact factor: 0.768). Themes to be considered for the symposium include, but are not limited to:
New business models and innovations in the digital economy Business model and governance Business model innovation in internet+ paradigm Innovation ecosystem and platform strategies Innovation capability development in digital economy Innovation systems and catch-up Internationalization and innovation Managing emerging technologies Service innovation New innovation models in China
Entrepreneurship and governance Leadership and entrepreneurship Strategy and entrepreneurship Entrepreneurship within internet+ paradigm Corporate entrepreneurship Academic entrepreneurship Institutional entrepreneurship Entrepreneurial Cognition and Decision Social entrepreneurship International entrepreneurship Entrepreneurship and environment Entrepreneurship and venture capital Entrepreneurship, policy and institutions
Emerging industries and traditional industry upgrading Manufacturing and Industry 4.0
As for all these themes above, we recommend that papers approach issues from the perspective of institutional change and its influence.
